How do I pay through paypal using my credit card and not my bank account?

When you are checking out on the website this option will be available to you.
I believe Paypal’s new policy is to use your Paypal balance first, then credit cards, and then your bank account for funding. Previously, they used credit cards as backup for the bank accounts. Unless you’re seeing something different, when you log in, go to Profile, then choose Pay List (second column), and Set Available Funding Options. You will see the order of the sources. It should show the credit card above the bank account. That is how you can tell the order they will go in.
Add the credit card as a funding source. You’ll see that option when you pay for your purchase.
