How do I make Firefox successfully connect to the net when clicking a web link?

Server not found
Firefox can’t find the server at
* Check the address for typing errors such as
ww.example.com instead of
www.example.com
* If you are unable to load any pages, check your computer’s network
connection.
* If your computer or network is protected by a firewall or proxy, make sure
that Firefox is permitted to access the Web.

I have that problem occasionally with version 2.0.0.3. Sometimes I just hit the refresh button, other times I have to reboot.
1st: Go to :
Mozilla Firefox
General Tab:
Connectuion Settings:
Select Direct Connection
Keep working on it, Firefox is the best browser out there.
