What version of itunes should I use for my UNLOCKED iphone?

i cant really help with that but make sure you get the right one!!! i had an iphone i got the wrong itunes. guess what i dont have an ipone anymore. it eraces everything so now my iphone just sits here with no use. i really fukked up. so yeah be careful we don’t want that happening to you!
DO NOT use the latest iTunes, my attached source has good reasons why you shouldn’t. The recent iTunes, has already caused a lot of problem for people who are trying to unlock their iphones.
Especially, if you have already jailbroken and unlocked your iPhone, presume that’s 2G (though I don’t know which firmware you are using) there is an increased risk that the latest iTunes will recognise that you have an invalid sim inserted in your iPhone resulting in you not being able to sync. Because iPhone Dev Team’s quickpwn tools haven’t been kept up to date with Apple’s release of iTunes, that’s why you should not use the newest iTunes – it makes your jailbroken/unlocked iPhone prone to errors.
I used this solution with the latest iTunes and it works for me.
