My PSP will only work when it’s plugged into the charger, and it won’t work without it. How come?
Daffy asked:
I have dropped my PSP a few times, but even so, my PSP worked fine. All of a sudden, it only works if it’s plugged into the charger, and it will turn on and work until you go to the internet or press the music you want to listen to.

the answer is….get a nintendo DS =]]]
is there a battery in it? if so does it work?
your battery could be done try taking it out and putting it back in
you should try charging it maybe its out of battery
Go get it checked out by a professional, or take it to your local electronics store (ie. Circuit City, etc.) and see if they can help you.
you have a problem with your battery. either connection to battery or the actual battery. Try a new battery if that doesn’t work you will want to get it repaired.
You need a new battery and see contact points arent touching check the face plate and umd reader
you may want to use your warrenty
Hope that helps!!!
It’s Probably the battey, make sure it;s in all the way or if it isn’t working you need to buy a new batery
put the battery in the PSP and put it on the charger, keep the system on the charger until the battery is fully charged (check under settings->system settings->battery information), then, with the system on, pull the system off the charger, if the system immediately turns off, or if it shows the low battery icon in the corner, then your battery is shot, nothing you can do for it but buy a new battery (the reason it seems to shut off while listening to music or surfing the web is because the psp needs more juice to listen to music, and for some reason, refuses to charge when using wifi)
