GPS & Google maps or Markers?
Anjel asked:
As an alternative to burial, cremation is no longer green enough, say environmentalists, because it releases smoke and mercury, and thus the industry is considering “promession,” in which the body is frozen in liquid nitrogen to minus-320 degrees (F) and then shaken until it disintegrates into powder. For green burials, the United States has at least six cemeteries that require biodegradable casings and for bodies to be free of embalming chemicals. The Forever Fernwood cemetery in Mill Valley, Calif., goes even further, according to an October Los Angeles Times story, banning grave markers, but, said the owner, “We issue the family a Google map with the GPS coordinates” so they can find their loved one. It might be I am too tired to really get what this is about, but banning grave markers?? I prefer cremation and do what you will with the remains- sprinkle me in a flower garden or arboretum.
Environmentalist mess with just about every aspect of my life and by da*n it, they will NOT mess with my death! They are the single most self righteous, hypocritical, group of anti-everything on an equal level with the ACLU.
Almost sounds like the article came from a “Twilight Zone” episode.
Not everyone is (or will be) able to afford the luxury of GPS or Google maps. What about their loved ones? Do ya think some might go back to the “old days,” and bury their family in their own back yard?
