Why am I having problems using Google search?
Mochalex asked:
When I click on a search result, it redirects me to a different site. It usually takes about three tries before I can get to the correct page.
Is this something new with Google? The redirected sites are usually commercial. Or is there a setting I need to change on my browser, IE 7?
This happens with every search result I attempt to open. The first two clicks take me to a redirected page and the third click finally takes to the right page.

I don’t think this has anything to do with web hosting.

Many times, web hosting is bought for a short period (a year or two) and isn’t renewed after that period by the webmaster.
When that happens, the hosting provider redirects the domain to their own site until either the webmaster pays up for another year or two, or the domain expires. And Google doesn’t delete the site from their database when that happens, because it can’t tell what were the reasons behind the change.
