It is probably because your itunes music is in the aac format and I doubt yahoo music uses aac.
You need to convert your itunes aac music to mp3 format.
You can do this in itunes.
OK here goes
in itunes change the default from aac to mp3 by going to edit/preferences/advance/import and change from aac to mp3.
Then up where it says songs, artist, album, genre, etc, right click that row and click the column called KIND. This will add this to the list of columns in itunes. Then click on this category so your songs are being arranged by format.
Highlight all the AAC songs (not protected aac) and right click and click convert to mp3.
For protected aac you will have to burn them to a disc and reimport them onto your computer. Since you changed the default they will reimport into itunes as mp3.
Now all your aac music should be in the mp3 format (you will have duplicates in both aac and mp3 format) and they should be usable on yahoo music and your pearl mp3.
Good luck/
Converting songs can take a few seconds per song so if you want to just try a few songs at first to add to your mp3 player you can and then go back when you have lots of time to convert the rest.
(is yahoo music a music player that lets you organize and transfer music into your pearl? maybe you should try using windows media player after converting the music)
Cucusoft Ultimate Converter Suite converts all the media file to play on almost any portable device including iPod, iPod touch, iPod video nano, iPhone, Zune, PSP, video capable MP3 players, video capable mobile phones, and Pocket P.C., etc. Meanwhile, it can also support output almost any audio/video format including Video format(H264, MP4, WMV, AVI, MOV, RM, 3GP, flv, SWF, mpeg-1, mpeg-2, VCD, SVCD, DVD, etc.) and Audio format(AC3, AAC, MP2, MP3, MP4, RA, WMA, etc.).
I am using it. It is cool.
