Okay, first of all you want to contact your credit card company specifically and cancel your card yourself. Tell them that the account has been fraudulently accessed and that you will need a new credit card. Given the amount of identity theft these days many companies have clear and easy policies to deal with this and often will refund you part or all of the money spent (depending on their policy and the kind of status you enjoy with them). According to Amazon’s site their customer service line is: 1-866-216-1072 but definitely contact your credit card company first! Best of luck.
Eric is right, call amazon.com after you call your bank to report the identity theft and have the card cancelled and reissued. Then file a police report and notify each credit bureau. The books have already been sent knowing amazon’s speed.
Note: You can’t return books you didn’t order and probably won’t be able to cancel the order.
